At Feeding Each Other, we provide far more than just food and clothes. We bring profound love, good energy, and holistic care—physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually—directly to the streets. Every two weeks, Feeding Each Other steps directly onto the streets of Baton Rouge and New Orleans. We serve fresh, hot meals, distribute weather-ready clothes and hygiene kits, and build genuine human relationships with neighbors. We aren't just giving out handouts; we are setting up a true table of friendship where everyone is welcomed in.

A Crisis of Hunger, Exposure, and Overlooked Dignity.
Every single day, hundreds of men, women, and families across Baton Rouge and New Orleans navigate survival on sidewalks, under overpasses, and in open-air lots. The suffering is deeply real, but the system leaves painful gaps:
Chronic Hunger & Empty Nights
Many unsheltered neighbors go 24 to 48 hours without a warm, nutritious meal. Canned goods requiring can openers or cooking appliances are useless on the curb. Our neighbors need fresh, calorie-dense hot meals prepared and placed warm directly into their hands.
Weather Exposure & Physical Breakdown
Louisiana summers bring blistering humidity and heat exhaustion, while winter rains cause severe trench foot, illness, and hypothermia. Wearing damp, soiled socks and worn-down soles for weeks robs people of basic health, comfort, and physical mobility.
Red Tape & The Pain of Invisibility
Traditional brick-and-mortar relief centers often require state IDs, proof of address, transportation, or arrival during narrow hours. Beyond the physical hunger, the deepest wound is feeling invisible. We remove every hurdle by delivering unconditional friendship on foot.
We do not wait for our neighbors to find a way to us. We load our vehicles, pack the warm containers, and bring the lifeline directly to where they sleep, sit, and survive.
What We Urgently Need Right Now
Feeding Each Other is 100% grassroots-driven. We don’t have corporate overhead or high-salaried executives—every resource goes directly to the streets. To maintain our bi-weekly distributions in Baton Rouge and New Orleans, we need three key pillars:
Volunteers: Boots on the Ground
We need dedicated neighbors to help us chop, cook, package hot meals, sort apparel, assemble personal care kits, and serve alongside us on bi-weekly distribution Saturdays. Whether you serve once a month or every outreach, your presence brings real hope.

Community Partners: Wrap-Around Care
We are actively seeking local organizations, medical personnel, mental health advocates, churches, and skilled service providers to set up right alongside us at our open-air hubs. Barbers, stylists, and wellness workers: you are warmly invited to bring your craft to the street!

Donors & Grantors: Fueling the Goods
We rely 100% on community donations and philanthropic grant funding to purchase physical fresh meats, produce, propane tanks, to-go containers, bottled water, clean underwear, socks, and seasonal gear. Every dollar given directly translates into physical goods.
